Feb. 25, 2008 – The 80. annual Oscar ceremony again has been a gathering of the stars, where celebrities like George Clooney or Harrison Ford meet today’s beauties like Jennifer Garner, Nicole Kidma or Cate Blanchett.
This year’s celebration (excluding Paris Hilton and Britney Spears) brought success for Javier Bardem who won an Oscar as best supporting actor in "No Country for Old Men". Marion Cotillard received an Oscar with her very first nomination for "La vie en rose" as best leading actress.
For the Austrian director Stefan Ruzowitzky this evening was a very important because his film "The Counterfeiters" got a nomination for the best foreign movie. Penelope Cruz presented this category and finally got the award.
Hollywood legend Jack Nicholson was adressed by the presenters for several times and host Jon Stewart made some jokes about the pregnant ladies at the show.
