Kid Rock got his first worldwide No. 1 Hit! His “Sweet Home Alabama”-Cover “All Summer Long” rocks AUSTRIA!
June 20, 2008 – Currently Austria is the host of the UEFA EURO 2008 Soccer tournament and everywhere in the fanzones across the country before and after the live-broadcasts of the matches (strangely called “public viewing”) there is only one song: “All Summer Long” by Kid Rock, the ex-husband of “Baywatch”-Star Pamela Anderson.
Rock has visited the alpine country before: Just recently when he rocked the Nova Rock Festival and a couple of years ago when he shared time with Pammy at the legendary Vienna Opera Ball as a guest of Austrian’s Society Family Lugner (other famous guests include Dita von Teese or “1 night in Paris”-Star Paris Hilton).
Now every one is singing the refrain of the “Sweet Home Alabama”-Cover and “All Summer Long” jumped right from scratch to No. 1 in the offical charts, the “OE 3 Austria Top 40″. Kid Rock – a native of Romeo/Michigan – mixed up the song by Lynyrd Skynyrd with Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves Of London” and currently he at the moment he is No. 4 in Germany and No. 8 in England.
