Linz is the European Cultural Capital 2009 beside Vilnius. The third-biggest austrian city, with its 190,000 inhabitants is well known for its cake, however, has to offer a lot more. Art and culture in all shapes, from theatre through music up to modern and historical architecture. To give an understanding of the history of famous buildings to the cultural enthusiast in addition to the visits of exhibitions and concerts, Audio-City has published the MP3 Cityguide Linz. In eleven audiofiles the following places of interest are described: Old cathedral, Old city hall, Trinity column, main square, Carmelite’s church, Kremsmünsterer House, Landhaus, Martin’s church, castle Linz, city parish church and Ursulinechurch. A city map which emphasises the described points is included. The complete bundle is ready for download on the Internet.
After transfering the files onto a mobile MP3 player, historical and legendary facts will be provided at the touch of a button: Circling the main square the medieval precurser of the spyhole can be found and one finds out, how the german honour was saved here. Among the rest it is described, whether it is allowed to use fists or weapons in the Landhaus.
Why not connect sophisticated cultural enjoyment with a state-of-the-art way of sightseeing?
The MP3 – Cityguide describes the seen while seeing it. On site a big advantage compared with printed media.
